But if you get past their misguided PR attempt, there’s simply no denying that this Hudson Yards property is gorgeous. You’ll be in one of the most exciting (and expensive) places in New York without having to deal with the crowds of Time Square. Just ignore the fact that they call their design intuitive (what does that even mean?), and enjoy its aesthetic appeal.

4. Pendry Manhattan West

As with Equinox, you’ll have to ignore the way the Pendry Manhattan West tries to sell itself as a place “where elegance and ease comingle.” (Yes, we laughed when we read that, too.) Get past its awkward self-description to enjoy one of the city’s most organic designs.

The exterior of the property imitates a low wave, while the interiors are marked by wooden triangles, circles and other geometric patterns. The upper half seems to love this contrast with a city notorious for its grey blocks of skyscrapers. So much so, that they don’t mind paying over a thousand dollars a night to enjoy the hotel.

3. The Towers at Lotte New York Palace

Lotte New York Palace is where you stay if $1,300 is petty change to you. And if you want to feel truly apart, you book the Towers.

This hotel within a hotel offer amenities we didn’t even know existed. Apparently, there’s a level of wealth in which you don’t even have to spend your precious energy packing and unpacking. There are designated people who do it for you — no wonder the rich age better!
